The Work that Reconnects: A response to COVID-19

“It helped to ground me, remind me of what’s good during challenging times. Moving forward afterward felt easier.” – CC, session participant

“There are not many places where we get heard so deeply. This is that rare place.” – RA, session participant

Originally designed by systems theorist, author, teacher, and activist Joanna Macy, The Work that Reconnects guides us to a sense of hope and agency in the face of seemingly overwhelming systemic global concerns.

The Work that Reconnects is a four-part practice, a spiral through gratitude, fear, and inspiration, into intention and action. In early February 2020, Helen Sui, Shan Yu, and their co-facilitators adopted this practice (which they call Sharing Active Hope) to provide online support during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You can join the thousands of other people who, through these sessions, find deeper connections and renewed purpose. Sessions are offered by donation, with proceeds going to support Médecins Sans Frontières’ COVID-19 pandemic response.
